LEBANON WARRIOR YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE (LWYFL)

Dear Business Owner:
 

As a member or business owner in the Lebanon community, you may be aware of the Lebanon Warrior Youth Football League.  The L.W.Y.F.L. was founded in 2003 and serves Lebanon children in grades 1st – 6th (football and cheerleading).  Since our inaugural season, we’ve increased our membership from 200 to 550. Additionally, we anticipate continued growth by another 100 members in the next few years.  We attribute our growth to a number of things; good planning, support from the community and a lot of luck.
 
During our first two seasons, we were very fortunate that Lebanon City Schools opened their varsity field to us, which saved our program the initial expense of building a new facility.  However, with our continued growth, it was clear that we needed to find a permanent home for our kids and to limit the wear and tear on the varsity field.
 

As such, we were extremely pleased that Lebanon City Schools stepped up and provided us a lighted area for us to construct a youth football field.  In the spirit of developing a good partnership with the Lebanon City Schools and the community, the LWYFL moved forward with a $100,000 capital improvement project to build a first class football field which serves as our home field as well as providing the Lebanon High School Band a beautiful site to practice. The project was a donation from the LWFYL to the new school for allowing us to use their facility.  I am pleased to say that our forward-thinking prepared us for this activity and we were able pay off the entire balance of the first phase in just one season.  It took a lot of work and a lot of support from members of our community but we accomplished our goal.
 
Our Phase one capital improvement project included the following.
 
  • Grade and Sod a new playing surface
  • Permanent installation of the following:
    • Elevated Grandstands (450 Seat Capacity complete with Wheel chair access)
    • Press box
    • Score board
    • Goal posts
    • PA system
    • Purchase of Concession equipment and trailer
    • Sprinkler System
 

Our vision is to continue to make some needed improvements as well as some cosmetic work which will better help us serve our members as well as our visiting organizations.
 

 Our future projects include

  • Field Drainage (est $5,000)
  • Fencing  (est $11,000)
  • Walk ways (est $6,000)
  • Retaining wall (required around the new press box) (est $6,000)
  • Flag Pole (est $1,500)
  • Player Benches (est $1,500)
 
As an incorporated not-for-profit organization, this will place a tremendous strain on our finances for 2006 given the amount of money’s we spent on the initial construction of the field last year.  It is our hope that we will be able to complete phase II of this project without the need to borrow any money.  To meet our goals, we will continue to work on raising money with fund raisers, concessions, spirit wear and more.
 

We would like to again look to members of the community, as well as local business and corporations for support this year.  With that said, we would appreciate any financial support you (or others you may know) could dedicate to our project.  Our board sees this as an opportunity to provide a quality football facility for current and future residents.  As a sponsor you will receive the following;  All sponsors will be listed on our league banner, which will be posted at every home game, your name announced during half-time of each game, a listing on our league website with a direct link to your company and your company name listed on the back of our league t-shirts (to be distributed to all 500 kids at the beginning of the season)    We will also run a full page ad in the local paper at the end of the year thanking you for your support.
