Varsity Head Coach Shawn Lamb has announced the dates for this year’s youth football camp.  The camp will run Monday July 14, 2008 thru Friday July 18, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.  Please mark your schedules now to avoid scheduling conflicts.

SPRING CLEANINIG??????

FIRST EVER CLEATS FOR KIDS

If you are like most of us who have a child playing in the LWYFL you have begun to get a collection of used Football shoes.  The LWYFL would like to help you out by collecting the used shoes and offering them up to anyone in our league who may need a pair for the 2008 season.  It seems like every year parents have to buy new shoes when there are perfectly fine shoes laying around in someone’s garage and are not being used, here is where we can help you out.

Coach's Corner
At the parents meeting in May we will be collecting used, clean, RUBBER MOLDED cleats that you have donated to the LWYFL to be used by someone else for the upcoming season.  As you go through your Spring cleaning this month keep your shoes and bring them to the meeting and we’ll take them off of your hands.  There will be someone there to collect them from you.

During our equipment handouts in July there will be a table set up with the shoes on display and anyone who is interested in getting a pair will be welcome to take them.  There is no fee involved at all, this is just one way we can help each other out by recycling your Football shoes and giving them to someone who may need a pair.   If you know of someone who has moved on to Jr. High or High School who has RUBBER MOLDED cleats they want to get rid of spread the word, we would love to help out as many people as possible.
** Please make sure the cleats are clean and tied together, it would be helpful if they were labeled with a size also **
